Planning meeting to campaign for more Critical Care Beds for King George & Queens midday 8th June Ilford Town Hall
At time of writing, Cllr Athwal has not replied to my request for a meeting room at Ilford Town Hall.
We will meet in the Ilford Town Hall lobby at midday Friday 8th June and if a Town Hall room is not available we will find a café nearby to meet in. If late, I am on 07956 263088, Andy Walker. Agenda follows
Agenda
1 - Apologies
2 - Lobbying local Councils to make representations to local NHS & Central Government about the need for more life saving critical care beds to be opened for King George & Queens Hospitals to cope with the growing NE London population. Critical care beds were frequently full up during March 2018 per the photo below.
3 - How to persuade the NHS North East London Joint Commissioning Committee which meets on 11th July to persuade to seek additional funding for more critical care beds at King George & Queens. This key committee has non-voting Council members who have speaking rights in attendance.
4 Making a success of the 10 Downing Street visit to hand in a letter calling for more critical care beds at King George & Queens on 12th July at midday. The 12th has been chosen in the hope of the NHS meeting on the 11th agreeing to seek funding for more critical care beds. Should only Councillors be invited as part of the six people allowed to stand outside 10 Downing Street per an earlier photo shoot here

or should priority invitations be given to Keith Prince, the GLA representative and Sean Bailey, the GLA representative who sits on the BHRUT board?
Asking BHRUT to allow a Critical Care Doctor or Nurse to be interviewed about the need to have more critical care beds seems helpful as does the BHRUT board publishing daily critical care bed occupancy per the chart above on their site seem helpful
